Default Big Pollock are returning to NH

It's been 5 years since I've seen pollock this big, people are hauling in 12 to 15 pounders, in some cases 20+. So happy to see them returning. The seas were rough due to the southern hurricanes, but at the moment, offshore Fall fishing in NH is looking really hot.

I don’t fish there or know them fishery. Glad to hear they are coming back. Hopefully people keep a couple and are happy. Man ruins everything it touches. Past has proven this with other fisheries. Hopefully they continue to rebound. It’s amazing how fast people forget when they bite lol.

I remember catching them on Gary's MOHAWK @ 40#'s, and quite a few just one trip. Texas Towers. My Wife made me buy a Chest Freezer, cause one trip I sold three. Kat told Me if you're going fishing for 24 hours, She wanted the Spoils !!!! I still have that freezer. lol Just reread this Post. I still have my Wife, also.

Thumbs up Re: Big Pollock are returning to NH

Did an offshore tuna trip years ago on the Sea Devil when party boat tuna was just becoming a thing. Tuna didn't cooperate so we deep dropped on a wreck, Texas Tower ? who knows. Most fares caught at least a few Pollock.

Did a 3 day tile out of Montauk, hit some open bottom for Pollock, it was drop and reel, much like the old days of bluefish in NJ.

Glad to hear of fish returning.
