![]() I can't remember a year as windy as this one in a while! It's really cutting down the days on the water and fishing. Can we get a wind rain/wind check from NOAA?

![]() Was out both this past Saturday (Navesink River) & Sunday (West End of the bay) and although it was windy, I caught fluke both days.
My son & I were in a 16’ skiff on Saturday and although not the best of conditions , he caught his limit & I had one over 18”. We each had 12-15 shorts. Sunday fishing the late afternoon/early evening even with the wind, the drift was not as fast as I wold have thought. I was able to fish a 2 ounce Spro when I was jigging and a 4 ounce sinker when dragging bait. Ended up with 2 in the box (including the pool winner) and also a few shorts. There was a total of 15 keepers and at 2X that on shorts. |
