Finished up my seasonal rental this weekend and hit my home beach(Brick area) one last time mid afternoon for now til the water cools off(still mid to high 60s) After all the rough surf and wind over the last week or so I didn't know what to expect but to my surprise the fluke were still there and in good numbers. Fishing the bucktail and teaser and easy landed 30+ fluke in about 4 hours right thru low tide. 99% shorts but lots of fun with good action. Saw plenty of mullet but no bass or blues . I love flukin in the surf and this was my best year so far easily landing hundreds with about a dozen keeps to 20'. The big one avoided me all season but not for a lack of trying.

. Now on the sidelines waiting for cooler water.
