Default Kid friendly carp lakes.

I want to take my kid carp fishing without worrying about homeless drunks, ghetto people, etc. Also, not too far from parking. Please help.

Nomahegan Park in Cranford. Lots of bass and bullheads, too. Easy access and parking and a nice area.

I caught and removed > 2,200 carp and 478 goldfish from a park pond named Robert G. Martin Lake in Hamilton, NJ. Also snappers to 33 lb on 4 lb test line. But the last time that I fished there, the nesting purple martins flew full speed directly at my face, then veered off at the last second. Reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds".

Just wondering, why did you "remove" 2,200 carp? Do you eat them?

Carp are a non-native invasive species so I give them to people who like to eat carp. I also take pics of the carp and report them to the Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program at //nas.er.usgs.gov.
