Default Laker and crappie blow outs

I usually do a lot of hybrid and pike fishing in the summer, but i've been just bombing the crap out of the lakers searching for that monster one that i lost the one day in the early spring. They're still releasing great even with the warm surface temps, doesn't seem to bother them. They're not fighting quite as hard as they did a month ago, but still putting a good bend and thumping in my rod!

Only got one good pic last trip, but caught 5 in less than 3 hours after work and 4 of them were over 24", 2 were between 26-27". The biggest one flopped out of the net before i could grab it though haha.

Crappie fishing has been insane too, they're like potato chips you can't just go once! these are pretty much the average sized ones. My friend arty caught all the bigger ones again hahaha, must be the boat positioning! I don't have his pics yet.

Thumbs up Re: Laker and crappie blow outs

Good catchin’ to be had right now! Gotta love the slab Crappie! They are a super fun fish to catch! They taste great in the fall and winter. The Lakers, ahhhhhh, I fished for them so much back in the day that I know it was much better than it is now. They just don’t excite me anymore!!! Lol!!! Nice fish though!!!!!

Where did you read that? I've always been curious about the pump ins and outs. Surprised fish survive that journey, yet again I don't know exactly how that pump works.

You'd think they'd deploy a huge macerator to puree anything inbound to eliminate species contamination.

Lampreys will destroy that place even more than it already is...
