Sunday aboard the Down Deep we ran another 6 am Fluke trip for Joe and his great friends. Beautiful day on the water, albeit on the hot side they found a good amount of quality keepers with plenty of short action to keep the rods bent all around the boat. We had a double dark side fish today as well. Then aboard the Down Deep Bull we ran another 6 am open boat Fluke trip with a big crowd of great guys. The crew headed in a different direction looking for the grand slam. The crew fished hard and managed only a few singles. We know where they should be, but aren't and know they will show, so we will continue fishing where we've been and will revisit these areas soon enough as the season seems to be a bit behind schedule. For those who remember last year, this may be a repeat in the making, only difference is we will have a longer season, where we won't leave them biting (barring any major storms). If you can jig, book now.
