Reel Class Weekend Reports 10/21-10/22 -- SEABASS/Porgies & Albies-Blues-Weakfish!!
Saturday 10/21: Had Craig and crew on. Had a real good crack at the albies early but that was it... Jigs were also catching taylor blues, mackerel, & herring... Took a ride and found a load of weakfish again on the jigs, biggest 14". Tried working the miles of bunker but had no bites.
Sunday 10/22: Opening day of seabass on reel class was a memorable one as our 6 man crew filled the big box to the brim with keeper seabass (>75 ks close to limit) + ~50 porgies to 4#(some true hub caps in there!!) as well as the biggest bergall I've ever seen and a nice bonito. Loads of short seabass and even some short porgies in the mix. Porgies were so aggressive we caught probably 20 on diamond jigs trying to jig up the seabass. Fishing was good overall!! Real good day and a gorgeous one on our ocean!!!
