![]() My buddies son just got into fishing and I'm looking to take them out somewhere to get him excited. They live in merchantville nj, any recommendations around there for solid fishing would be greatly appreciated.

![]() For immediate local 'Herringkings' suggestion of Strawbridge lake is likely your best bet. Starting them on sunnies, pickerel and small bass is always a good bet. High success rates generally equate to a strong interest in doing it some more! The species usually doesn't matter to 'new to the sport' youngsters, it's more about catching. Good luck with the lads! It's always nice to see/hear about someone taking the time and effort to introduce some young folks to our favorite pastime. Kudos to you!
