![]() Had out Joe z, Mike Reynolds, Dave and crew returning for the second year. Real shitty conditions made for very tough fishing so the capt kept the stern into it the whole time to help slow down the drift and minimize the rocking. Had some fish right off the bat but then it slowed. Just picked a fish here and there and made a lot of moves and worked a bunch of areas. A couple really nice fish were dropped in the morning as well.
Late in the day joe hooks up. And the whole way up with the fish he kept saying "it's a ray. There's no head shake, oh I just got a wing shake! Capt brought us to the ray grounds." And of course when it gets to the surface everyone's mouth drops and we scramble for the net. Kept that fish cold all the way to the scales and came in at 8.4 lbs, lost first place by 1 ounce! It sucks but second isn't all that bad. Thanks again to the crew for putting in 110% today and never leaving the rail. Big fish was also caught on a 4 oz. sharkbite round head jig from the one and only mike Reynolds

![]() Joey,
Gerry told me you knew the difference between a skate and a big fluke, makes one wonder that maybe Mom likes Gerry best! One tenth of an ounce...ouch. We lost the FSOS about 5 years ago by 1/100th of an ounce...still stings. Great job under difficult circumstances, want to see a dd from you on the 29th! Good to hear someone netted the right fish this time,,,,haha! Tom |

![]() Thanks to Dave again for year 2 of this trip...Ron and Jr. did a great job working the boat, keeping us positioned in the AM slop and netting fish as needed. Sorry we didn't get the #1 fish this year but a very respectable placing. Looking forward to next one.

![]() We booked RockBottom last year for the FSOS Tourney. Capt Ron and mate Ron Jr effort and determination brought us right back again for this year. Highly recommend Rockbottom for any charters, hard working, great boat and Jr is always there when necessary. As stated conditions were tough most of the day but Capt got us 3 nice shots at the big ones along with 13 nice keepers and loads of shorts all released with full energy and very much ALIVE.
10% Mortality rate is BS. Give us that quota back!! Our crew was the same as last year and everyone contributed to the box with some nice fish. We also improved Gulps, Spro , sharkbites and various other bucktail manufacturers financial bottom line. ![]() I dropped one of the could of, should of, would of rod doubled over drag pulling Houdini Fluke in the am. So I guess I am still I book em and you Hook em charter master. Added a few nice keeps to the box though and loads of shorts. Keith had a beauty seabass and the "other" Mike (Two Guys Rod) added some keeps and kept his title of multi species king. Very Happy MFFAFF Joey got the money fish. His efforts, attention to detail and determination prove again his ability to catch on a consistent basis and is a first call for tourney or any fishing. Well deserved my friend. Congrats to Capt Nicky on the winner but we will be back next year to de throne ya. Thanks again Capt Ron and Jr for a great day and trip to money list which we parlayed into a future Tog trip so everyone wins.
