![]() ok, thanks. I caught the snapper in the Millstone River on my homemade corn meal bait, then released it near the Delaware River. I weighed it with my Cabela's certified scale by weighing the bucket with the turtle in it. Caught 45 turtles this year. Only 2 were snappers. Last year I caught more than 25 snappers. 37 lber was the heaviest that I ever caught. It's very difficult landing snappers as they spin, snap and hiss. I grab their tail but sometimes it's too slippery and I lose my grip. Didn't lose a finger yet. It's much safer to cut the line when a snapper is on the end of it.
