![]() as most are aware i got my new yamaha 300, on way home from atlantic highlands i had to go slow for break in reasons , im at 5 hrs now and they told me i could start running normally except for wide open , any way when i get up in speed the boat starts to list to the left pretty bad ! what can it be ? can it be prop pitch ? the way im trimming ? i have trim tabs but thats beside the point , prior to i didnt list

![]() Sounds like prop torque. You should be able to correct it with the proper trim tab adjustment.

![]() Proper torque is typically side to side and goes away at higher speeds.
Your boat lists ONLY lists when moving is caused by more drag on one side. Else it should list at 0 knots too. So its you flow past hull that is making the boat lean to one side. With an outboard or a stern drive just use trim tabs for right left balance. NOT boat trim. They work by creating fuel draining drag. And I think on your list, the trim tabs I would look for as the culprit for it even happening.
