Default Hatteras tuna

Fished Monday offshore of Ocracoke Island. Landed a 63lb yellowfin on 30lb test,30lb standup ,40 minutes, kicked my ass. Not bad for a 70 year old. fished on the Bite Me out of Hatteras Village. Great boat and crew. couple blackfin and bonita too.

Nice Alfluke, fished out of Ocracoke several years back on a buds boat and the Restless in '05 & the Gecko in '07. Fished in late April/early May. Went for triggers on another charter of which I don't seem to have the name---was the first time we ever saw a "green stick" & being used. Yf's we caught were smaller--30-35 to 40#. That's a very nice YF you caught--just remember you're only as old as you feel; trust me, I know...
It's really fun on lite tackle, right???
