![]() Had a few hours before work Monday so went to the river to target some smallies. I got on the water around 6am and was hoping for some topwater action but no takers, the river was still pretty stained from the rain. Started catching some cookie cutters on a bubblegum senko. Once the sun was fully up I managed a nice 14" and 15"er on a tiny torpedo. They both put up a hell of a fight. I still haven't been able to coax any big girls out yet but always a fun way to kill a few hrs.

![]() well done getting some smallmouuth action in before work.. smallies love torpedos,i like using them in low light conditions like dusk and overcast.

![]() Thats why its my mission to coax em outta their lares
![]() Its ALWAYS all about the conditions....If you consentrate on the high probability water conditions they can be as predictable as largemouth.... Nice job gettin back to the topwater...most ppl wouldn't have gone back to that
