Default Canyon runner team = 300+ bluefins in one week!

CANYON RUNNER TEAM = 300+ BLUEFINS IN ONE WEEK!

149 on the Canyon Runner Boats - with 15 Over 100 Pounds
Over 160+ for our Canyon Runner Report/Coaching Members - AMAZING WORK TEAM!

*************************************************

Now before I get to our detailed reports not only was the fishing on our boats fun to be a part of and some of the best we've seen in a long time - even better was pushing as many of our Canyon Runner Report/Coaching Members to get offshore and get in on this fishing before it was over as it's as good as it gets. 12 of our Members got out there and almost all of them had trips of a lifetime. Most had 15-20 bluefin and one have 1 69" bluefin that was well over 200# - WAY TO GO GUYS!!!

**************************************************

In what can only be described as lights out fishing for a full week we saw some of the best fishing you could hope for at any time of the year - tuna as fast as you could reel them in - all day long! With 10 overnighters in the books already for our 2 boats we couldn't be happier it started out this way.

As earlier reported - the week started out with Capt. Phil Dulanie and Capt. Ryan Britt putting the Tom Ciriacks charter into 22 bluefins (of course only keeping the legal limit) and Capt. Deane Lambros on the 48 had a rare one day troll and only needed about 6 hours total to put together a double limit catch. Wednesday saw both boats back out for overnighters and Capt. Deane on the 48 Viking was thrilled that they had found bigger fish for the John Scheon charter as several bluefins this trip were over 60" putting them in the 100-125-pound class. They finished up with 14 bluefins and the 60' Ritchie saw these bigger fish too but only ended up with 6 total bluefins on this one.

Thursday to Friday saw both boats back out again with Capt. Phil and Capt. Mike Zajac running the 60' Ritchie and they saw 14 nice bluefins for the Ryan Murray charter that came from Pittsburg to fish. Capt. Deane just absolutely crushed the fish needing only 3 hours of trolling Thursday afternoon to nail 30 bluefins and finished up Friday morning trolling another 17.

Both crews took a nice night off Friday night and got back in the game Saturday morning - the 48 being expertly run by Capts. Kevin Muller and Gregg Ryback and the 60 once again by Capt. Phil Dulanie and Mike Zajac. The 60' had the Jame Schinn group out who had all they could handle with 22 bluefin coming to the boat. They had a few more around 60" as well on this trip and left to come home early as they couldn't reel anymore. Over on the 48 Viking a similar fate was in store for the Mike DeCotis charter that also saw some bigger fish and by 7pm stopped trolling to head inshore for a mako - and they got one of them too - all 200# of her and 84".

The action was almost entirely on 6" Canyon Runner Spreader Bars so much so we had to run to the shed in between trips and get 10 more white spreader bars for the boats as this many fish this quickly with most released put a toll on things. If you don't have 6" spreader bars on your boat you better get them ASAP.

Every trip saw us working the same general area of the Hudson Canyon but the fish are clearly on the move and spreading out - hopefully we find them next time out. Most of the fish were caught overboard in water from 59-64 degrees.

LOOKS LIKE I DO HAVE A CANCELLATION FOR JUNE 9-10 ON THE 48 VIKING - CALL ASAP - IT WON'T LAST MORE THAN A FEW HOURS. WHOLE BOAT OR OPEN BOAT - WHICH EVER FILLS UP FIRST

EMAIL: ADAM@CANYONRUNNER.COM IF YOU WANT A SPOT OR THE WHOLE BOAT

You Better Call ASAP if interested: 732-272-4445
