Default Got a little `Yak wranglin` in for a couple hours this past Sunday evening.

Man....don't ya just hate that? You're out after Bass and one of those Toothy Critters chomps on your lure! HaHa!

So we're in Dick's today and Sharon says, "Buy these....they`re pretty".....haHa!!

**Then I just watched two boats sit in this exact same spot for an hour.... and they didn't catch anything..... So I kept throwin` one of those "Pretty Lures"... And this big boy grab it! HaHa! ------ Fun couple hours in my `Yak indeed!

Hope you`re all doin` well -

I can always count on Esox Dundee to post a nice pike.

Was that from the passiac? I just hit it for the first time and the water clarity was muuuuddy by Stanley park.

Hiya thmyorke1 - Yep....... Down `round South Orange/Livingston. I don`t mind it when it`s a bit muddy.......

It was probably 6 inches of visibility. It was a bit spooky wading in a new river with no sight of the bottom. When I walked into a submerged branch I sort of got chills

Thought it was a pike ready to chomp down.

Reaction baits at work. I use slightly smaller ones for walleye and smallmouth. Sungill and watermelon.

thmyorke1 I'd be careful wading the Passaic. I'd be beyond nuts deep in mud and stuck in some of the stretches I fish. Es no bueno. Not all stretches are that way obviously but just a heads up

Ive heard, but also heard stanley park is nice and rocky. That proved to be pretty true. I appreciate the warning however. I did step in some nasty mud above the dam on the sides of the river... smelly SWAMP FARTS was the only consequence.

Visibility isn't really an issue in the Passaic. You'll only get decent visibility in colder months.

Like Jigman said, don't wade in the Passaic. Take it from me. You can easily get stuck in the mud, there are drop offs, and there is also discarded metal/trash that could potentially cause injury. A small kayak is a great way to explore and not have to deal with thick brush, thorns, poison ivy and ticks. But most of the river is small enough to fish from shore, if you can find access.

Feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.

Thanks JD, I won't stray further from the stretch I already walked. I'll toss you a pm.
