Drift Fishing 5/23/17

We hosted a group of insurance people today and I had 3 1/2 hours to produce fish for novice anglers...what to do ?? Of course we went bottom fishing ! I put up the kite and a couple of flat lines with live bait, but it was the old school knocker rigs that produced the bites. We went through a 5 lb box of sardines and about 3 lbs of cut barracuda before they got the feel of the bites and we boated a couple of fish. The Breakers Hotel didn't know what it was in for, when this group showed up for lunch with a bag of cut fillets !
