Default Wicked Tuna Time Again

Opening segment was pretty cool showing the behind the scenes stuff on the set up & camera work. Loved the translation into the many languages, wanted more, pretty funny. One thing I'm curious about. I assume the captains make a pretty penny from show, Marciano probably more than most being the most popular one. Why doesn't he get a new boat already?

Don't know much Giant fishing other than what I learned from that show and it was interesting that Pin Wheel had a 12 hour battle with one of those fish last night. pretty sure that isn't the norm but I think the show really edits the time it takes to reel in one of those Giants? Thought I heard that 3-6 hour battles are common?

I'm sure making a few $$ from the show hopefully really helps those guys because with all the $$ involved to run and maintain those boats + pay crew just doesn't seem like enough $$ there.

Heard a bulk of their earnings are made in appearance fees
And t-shirts sales. Glad for them, always like to see hardworking
Folk find a way to grind it out, wish everyone had the same breaks.

Thought it was a better start to the sixth season, glad the Hard Merch got one...he's my man...it'd be nice if the Pin Wheel grows up this year...The Doc. Com & Pissah will never change & welcome aboard to the new Capt. & keep it up "Pa-Pow"... My favorite show...Yea , those giants take "a while" to stick if the hook doesn't pull!!! A big YFT(Allison) or "Eyeball" can/will take "a while" but I'm addicted to the war of wills...win or lose!!!!

Agree that the show has improved. I think (and hope) they realized the forced personality drama pales in comparison of the true drama of fishing.

That 12 hr battle? Tell me you weren't right there with them saying "don't come off don't come off don't come off."

Every long tuna battle I've had the mantra in my head was "I...just....want....to....see.....it"
