What do you use on your aluminum T top
Going from a hard top walkaround to a 2017 CC with an aluminum tee top and canvas. What do you guys use to avoid pitting? I've always used Colonite Insulator wax on my bow rails and railings and it worked great!! Just wondering what you guys use on the soft tops?
Thanks in advance!! |

Re: What do you use on your aluminum T top
Woody wax on the aluminum and 3M 303 on the fabric.

Re: What do you use on your aluminum T top
For the aluminum, Woody wax or Alumaguard. Just make sure to keep on top of it or it will go south in a hurry.

Re: What do you use on your aluminum T top
Good morning,
Just registered and saw your post. I use Woody Wax and/or a product from Rupp (Can't remember what it's called just now) to wipe down the pipe work periodically. I spoke with a T-Top builder in Florida recently who suggested keeping a towel saturated with whatever you choose to use in a zip lock bag and going over the pipe work after it's clean and dry. I'm going to try it this year. My T-Top is about 10 years old and looks great but does have some pitting up near the canvas. Once it starts you can't go back so try and keep on it as much as you can. Good luck, JollyMonNJ |
