but that was CGI

Flowing water doesnt freeze like that

Hahaha, it does seem like tons of that is CGI including some of the water but there is something called "supercooling" of liquids and water and it does give an interesting effect similar to what he shows in the video. Whether his team did any supercooling shenanigans is not clear however.
Maybe just the water bottle one. Seems the most believable.
