Prowler5 - Report and Update, Fri., Jan. 20th
Hey gang, Capt. Scott here. We were the only boat to sail out of Atlantic Highlands again with a light crowd of 6 customers. The only two other boats that I spoke with on the phone were Capt. Greg of the Ocean Eagle and Capt. Bobby Quinn of the Ocean Explorer. Fishing was kind of like yesterday, but the ocean finally layed down. I guess a lot of people didn't want to come because of the rain. But, we didn't get the rain until 2:45. Now for my update for tomorrow's trip. I've been telling all of the customers that have called to get down early because I'm planning on leaving just like the party boat Angler at 7:00 a.m. Don't worry I'm still going to kick it gear and do 23 knots. I'm planning on sailing with around 35. I have plenty of green crabs for tomorrow's trip and we have fresh clams also. And most of the guys are bringing their own white leggers. Not that I think you're going to need them for tomorrow, but Tom at our tackle store at our marina has been selling them pretty cheap at something like $7 a dozen and giving extras. We have light west wind for tomorrow. I plan on fishing wrecks from 155 to 135 to 125 to 110. I told a lot of the guys to be down early because I do plan on leaving at 7:00 a.m. sharp. So me, Marko, Zavier and Dustin will be helping you on tomorrow's trip. Bring the heavy rods if you have them. Thx., Capt. Scott
