Default Drift Fishing West Palm November 9, 2016

I had Jim and Vesy out today, 2 guests from Finland, and they wanted to try some of our local fishing. We ran north of the inlet and out to about 120 feet. There was a ground swell but it was very comfortable fishing. Vesy immediately hooked up to a Kingfish, but kept his rod pointed straight down, so the fish proceeded to wrap itself around my running gear and after a minute or two of swimming in circles just beyond gaffing range busted off. Ok, I thought this is not going well ! After that things clicked and they started boating snappers, runners, an african pompano and triggers. It was a fun trip and they got fillets for dinner, and I have some new friends ! Tight Lines --Rich
