Default Couple of eyes and a striper last night -- river lurking 9/25/16

Disgruntled after the Giants blew the game I needed to blow off some steam after the family went to bed. Off to the river I go!

Arrive at 11 pm and fish till 1230. Started with a smaller yozuri plug and picked off an 18" walleye in the first 20 min. Cool. Playing with house money now. Cruised downstream a bit and about 20 min later plucked a 12" striper on the same lure. Been a while since I've had these lil buggers nipping athe my offerings. Good to see.

Switch over to the big stuff and begin casting away. Retraced my original path back upstream and casted for about 30 min. Got whacked. Short fight and self released. Didn't feel big but def knew by the strike that it was a walleye. Kept at it bombing long casts across the river and slow rolling my lure. At about 1220 I got smoked again and it felt nice. Decent fight. Slide her up on the bank and taped out a 24" walleye. Quick photo and release! Didn't make another cast. Happy with the 3 fish... good to connect with a few after 3 straight skunkings. Porn below. Eyes are getting fat already boys...

Sweet set o fishes buddy. Nice to see you get the mojo back. That skunk can be hard to beat sometimes. As they say...just keep pugging at it and puttin time in and boom you get "lucky" again! Way to make your own luck and nice job on the pics too.

Awesome eyes and stripes! It's a bit ironic that you used the phrase "picked off" in this report after watching the Giants game lmao.

Fall is def here. 48 degrees when I got in my car last night at 1230 am. Glad I was wearing proper gear!

The mist rising off the water was blinding when I clicked my head lamp on too. Water temps waaaaay warmer than air temps
