Down Deep Fleet - 8/6 weekend reports . . . . .
They say " no news is good news". Except here. You won't just hear from us when we catch. So after many great trips of Jumbo Ocean Fluke fishing aboard both boats, the weekend went from bad to worse. Both boats pounded way too many different areas with similar results, scrap, few shorts and a handful of keepers to 6 lbs. With many great fisherman / bucktailers aboard it was painful. There were some jumbo Porgies, Seabass to 5 lbs, Triggerfish and the normal junkfish as bycatch that bit while fishing rough, clean, lumps and ledges. Something shut them down. When we see micro scrap, somethings off. These areas are far from finished for the season and they will soon light up again. We will head in a new direction all this upcoming week and we will get right back on them, it's that simple. Thanks to everyone who sailed with us this weekend. It was nice to see all the familiar faces and meet many more new great guys. Don't miss the next open boat trips -
