Default Decent Day of Fluking

Me, Dah Fish, Jar Head and Sven of The Hook left at 0 dark 30 this am to try get some fishing in before the storms came. Art netted some Peanuts before we split and Joe made a b line out to the ocean side where he thought they'd be held up. Good choice as we had action immediately and the Fluke were all over the Peanuts at first.

Had to weed through some doggies, skates and shorts to get at some keepers but we grinded through it.

Art was high hook, Tim got the pool fish which was a nice 6 pounder and his limit Joe boxed a few and so did I.

A little wet on the way home and back at the dock but a good solid day of Fluking.

I'm getting pretty good with that cast net
Caught a lot of sea robins including a personal best (about 16" and fat as the big end of a baseball bat)
Loads of shorts to work through too, but we managed a near boat limit of keeper flatties
Another keeper day on the Obsession with the buoys
dah Fish put us on 'em and did a masterful job of filleting. 4 1/2 lbs of fillets per angler. Nice!!! If I was on the knife, it woulda been 3 pounds of bone-in fish sticks
Thanks for another stellar trip!
