Brothers 50th Bday Fluke Trip

I fished with my two brothers and uncle for brother Wills big 50th bday trip. They fished Friday in Raritan bay w 5 keepers and loads of shorts on Friday so we wanted to fish the ocean on Saturday with the west wind and hot air temps looking for some bigger Fish.

Launched in the Atlantic Highlands and ran off the beach and found some good structure and good drift conditions w 74 degree water temps. Live peanut bunker produced first couple keepers of the day in the sticky stuff. Wasn't long and I got slammed by a nice fish, dropped off after couple cranks so dropped jig head w gulp back to bottom starting jigging and fish hit it good again and landed nice 6.5 lb fluke.

Continued to work the area hard for next 2 hours having a nice steady pick of fish w some quality fish in 3-4 lb range. Area slowed up so we moved further off beach and found some life in some structure boxing couple more nice fish on gulps and peanuts.

Great way to beat the heat w nice cool breeze on the ocean ended up w 14 keeper fluke two nice fish over 6 lbs and couple in 4-5 lb range. Great way to celebrate your brothers 50 bday

Thanks guys it was fun to break stones all day and have a good catch on some quality keepers, was hoping my brother would catch a big fluke for his bday but wasn't in the cards.
