![]() Had a real nice 4th of July weekend with some real good fishing.
Saturday we had out a few for fluking. It was definitely windy and a little bumpy, so we were forced to drag bait. Hit a few spots with some keepers and shorts, but we opted to look for a better patch and the last stop we had a couple really solid drifts and ended the day with 10 nice keepers and tons of shorts, and Walter had a nice 6.1lber. Sunday we decided to do a small family trip and headed offshore in search of tuna. We had tons of life the first half of the day and the weather couldn't have been any better. We headed in right before the wind started picking up. Ended up with a bunch of short bluefin, 5 knockdowns that just wouldn't take the hook, and was able to bring one home for ourselves. Also had tons of dolphins and a few whales out there too. Monday we had another light crowd and opted to split the day. Hit the ling grounds first and had wind against current so we drifted for a while before we anchored on a piece. Had around 60+ Ling with a nice cod caught by Abe and a 5lb flounder. Headed inshore for a few drifts and added 3 keeper fluke to the box and plenty of short action to go with it. We still have a couple spots for Sunday , and we've changed it to fluke fishing. ***We also have a couple spots open for tuna fishing Wednesday July 13th***
