Talking Pohatcong Crick, Chase and friends, 2016...

Out the door bright and early this morning with my son Chase and Fireball Bob. Got to the spot before most and set up camp on this pristine little creek. The water is always perfect in this area, good drainage I guess. Myself, Chase, Bob, MikeV, Mike "Cape Cod", Rudy and Jeff gave it hell and all got rewarded. The guys that were patient got there fish. The guys that walked up to a spot and fished for 10 minutes and left got ZERO. PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE! With the water being cold you have to work for em a little bit sometimes. I got a few on Orange PB, couple on CD3 Raps and a few on spinners. Not the best action in the world but my son and I had well over 2 limits when all was said and done. We kept 6 for the smoker or grill and let the rest swim. It was a steady pick for the most part with 2-3 fish getting caught in spurts every 30 minutes or so. I have no clue why people leave fish to find "ZERO!" LOLOLOLOL!!!

Big thanx to Mike "Cape Cod" for letting my Chase reel in a really nice Rainbow. I appreciate the help dude. The kids still awake and on a rampage. He reeled in about 6-7 Trout by the end of the day. I couldn't be more proud of my little "MANIAC!" CHASEPAIN IS HOOKED. He's been out in less than stellar conditions and doesn't feel a thing. No complaining at all. He's all about this life. What more could I ask for? I have a fishing partner for life!

Big thanx to Mike V as well for grilling all the food. That was some good stuff man. Im still full! Good job getting a fishing crew together on short notice. FRANK V was smiling down on us today. Good to fish with you today my friend! GREAT TIMES!!!!

I can't believe this little gem of a creek was basically empty by 1030 am. Where did everybody go? HAHAHAHA!!! TIGHT LINEZ!!!!

CHASEPAIN.....

Empty river at 1030 am?????????????????

Great pics & nice trout for everyone. Had a blast at the stream myself early in the morning. Limited out with 6 in one hour. Going to the North branch of the rartian tomorrow for more bow action!

Nice going for the young one and the dad. And the Pohatcong's a beautiful stream.

Heyyyy BUDDDY! Your saying you didn't recognize me "FASTEDDIE!?!?" Dude I'm almost famous! Hahahahahaha! Yea that was Cape Cod from this site that got my son to reel in the first good fish of the day! We stuck it out til 130 or so and picked at the Trout all day! A 26 inch Rainbow was caught on the downstream side of the trestle/bridge! Good to know I was fishing near another NJF'er! Next time "if you recognize me" feel free to say hi or whatever! I'm not Charles Manson after all! LOL! TIGHT LINEZ!!!
