Smile Splitrock

So I've had minor success there last year but I still find it a tough nut to Crack at times. Can someone one dm me some info on what I should be doing to find more bass and/or where I can find a map with depths and structure. I help a lot of guys on this sight and I'm looking for a little help haha. Anything would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I've done best hitting the weed beds and drop offs north of the big island. I've never had much luck south of that island. Senkos and Swim Senkos (T rigged) in black have worked the best for me. I've caught some bass up to 5 lbs doing that.

This was all before the draw down for dam repairs. I avoided Splitrock when the water was way down. I fished it last summer and even though it was up a lot, most of my old hot spots were still dry land or inches deep. I had little luck. I caught a few small bass along the edges of the new grass field at the northern tip on topwater lures (I usually use a Rapala Skitterpop, or traditional floating Rapalas). It's a long paddle to get there though.

Hopefully it will be at full pool this year and my old hot spots will return.

I'm not aware of any maps of the lake, but they may exist. I just checked my NJ Lake Map Survey Guide and Splitrock is not on it.
