![]() Don't need to go all way to NH or Massachusetts for Cod and Pollock. We had great fishing here the past few years. Jump on the Russian Roulette, you will not be disappointed.

![]() Many moons ago Marshfield, mass was my destination for April baccala. Green harbor... Steam out to the bank. Lock and load throwing back 20 lbers with fish over 50. Switch up to haddock and the boat would have a noticeable list to it back to port. Me, my father and brother had a 128 qt that we'd fill to the brim with skin on fillets. We also managed nice pollock and some beast wolfies which tasted like lobbbbbstahhhhhh lol.
Now, I'd prob head east. The wrecks off the pt hold fish but once the doggies arrive it's tough. Pretty sure the boats out there are doing OK now with them and it lasts into March some seasons. Some seasons off of block is dead but ya gotta call and ask. The capts out east will give you an honest answer. Then there's always njf sponsor boats who target them...

![]() Thanks guys. As for jersey cod been there done that. I know you can get them here in decent numbers had a day this August where I had 17 keepers alone biggest fish went 26lbs but that was one out of maybe 50 combined shorts and keepers.
I am looking for a area that holds true giants fish in the 40lb+ class. Not sure how many of those are still around but I'd like to try anyway. Or big pollock. I'll take either as I have yet to hook one over about 10lbs |

![]() 40lb cod? Either fish every fishable day in those two months off NJ or LI or get a time machine. It is very rare to see a large cod anymore. Not many around and all the spawning aggregations are closed to fishing.
