Party boat angler Sunday report

It was a nice January fishing day although some sun would have made it much better. Fished 3 areas with fish in all places. The deep had bigger fish and the shallow had many more shorts. The bow was best today but there were fish around the boat. Hook hook had 7 keepers. Joey Valentino from North Plainfield took the pool with a 7 pound tog. A lot of pouts that had to go back a some dogs, a couple of ling, a cod and a mackerel. All in all a good day for the middle of January.

Our next trip will be Thursday at 7:00 AM and we will be fishing the deep so bring the heavy gear. I do noy like the early weekend forecast and Thursday nay be our only trip for a while.

They started to catch some mackerel last Friday to the east and this may bring some other fish with them. Although we will not be mackerel fishing I would love to see some cod and ling with the blackfish on the wrecks..

We only care to fish on the nice days and Thursday is looking good.

No pictures of high hooks or a group of guys in the bow as they didn't want their pictures on NJ fishing. They didn't want their fishing buddies to know where they coming next trip.
