Default Boating accident - Manasquan Inlet

My wife just called to inform me that an inflatable boat with 8 people aboard capsized in the inlet. Sad day

apparently, it was pontoon boat.. A big one too at about 26 feet from the reports I read.. Not sure the inlet is the right place for a pontoon boat at the end of November.. In any case, I am wishing Godspeed to those involved.... I hate seeing stories like this one... bob

Wow. You have to time the swells going into the inlet. Ride in notched into trough. Not too slow. Not too fast.

Hope everyone is OK

Sad News. TV reported 2 persons died in this accident.
My Prayers go out to the victims and their families.

Was this the same pontoon boat that is regularly out fishing the north jetty?

saw the one person receiving cpr by the coast guard on a private vessel coming in the inlet. the inlet was nasty with the moon tide out going and swell coming in. prayers to all involved but need to be careful.

Came in from a trip on the Gambler only to see the sad sight of 2 bodies covered on the deck by the coast guard station. Extremely sad to see, as it could happen to any of us. We saw the boat a few hundred yards off the inlet upside down. There were 2 sea tow boats i assume trying to bring it in. As much as i fish the sight of this was very disturbing.
