MUSHIN Halloween Bottomfishing Crush
Mushin's charter for Halloween cancelled, so we quick assembled a crew fun trip of spooky and scary creatures such as Capts. Chad, Harry, George, and Alan with Mates Darryl, Kevin, and "Little John" of Fishermen's Supply to fill our freezers with some tasty bottomfish. The fishing was PHENOMENAL. We hit three wrecks -every one loaded with life. The quality of the fish was phenomenal. A 7 man limit could have been easily done at the first spot by 7 am, but we carefully vented and released the smaller guys (2-3 pounders) and kept only 4-5+ pounders for the table. We added some 4+ pound porgies and some cod to 15#. We kept looking to add some cod, and had to carefully vent and release countless other sea bass up to 6+ pounds.
