Default SBR trout strike out and a question

Tried out the SBR for the first time ever this morning near what turns out to be Darts Mill Grove. Parked on a dead end road and fished the small ripple area on the curve. Nothing but plump sunfish. Tried the pull off along Flemington Whitehouse Road. Threw everything from a spinner to super meal worms without even a glance. Relocated to the pull off along River Road by the industrial area. Still nothing! Took a ride down stream and found the iron bridge. Signs everywhere stating river bed is private property and keep out. Saw a guy sitting on the wall by the falls there. must have the secret code word to fish it!

Now for the question. I saw people parking along the River on what appears to be the Darts Mill Grove campground. Signs say private property and no trespassing. Do they allow parking there in their off season? Saw the sign says closed until April.

Walked into Darts Mill countless times from my parking spot across the road, no one ever said a word.
