![]() Tried fishing sea bright with cut bunker past 2 days and got all the skates you could handle! Baits lasted 5-10 minutes before being hit. Nothing besides skates so I decided to switch it up today.
Headed down to the PP Canal for my 1st time. Got a bunch of little bites on clams during slack tide but no fish. Saw 1 or 2 others pull up maybe a 4-5 inch fish. Not much going on. Decided to Hit the ocean a few blocks away with the surf gear managed a small skate on clams. Cocktail blues all over the wash, got a few on rapalas and gave them to the guy fishing next to me because he was saving them. Not the best day but a day out fishing in a t-shirt again in mid october isn't too bad. -Dan |

![]() Any day fishing instead of working is a good day in my book. You gave it a hell of a try and you warded off the skunk. Skates at least provide some action, and Snappers saved many a day for me, and they didn't go to waste. I was stuck at work, but the thought of calling out sick did cross my mind on my way in this morning.
