Default Puerto Rican Tarpon Pic

Went to Puerto Rico for a wedding & decided to try some tarpon fishing. I can honestly say I've never seen so many tarpon in one place in my life.

With the full moon evening/night was probably the better bet but we choose early AM for a 4 hour trip. Only a few hook ups but we made them count.

PR Tarpon fishing excellent , a good friend of mine who ran charters down there for many years introduced me to this fishery back in early 80's ! It was excellent then right in San Juan harbor , fly fishing with sink tip line outstanding for Tarpon up to 125#'s ! Jigs worked well , as did mirrorlures !
And the best part no one fishing back then !!!
