Default Not sure what i'm looking for?

Hello All,
I have been out blackfishing with some guys and they have had older style rods which they said were made by captain Al. The rods seemed like they were from the old school. Perfect action and size. Can anyone point me in right direction.

My guess is they were Limi MB1143f blanks it was the most popular blackfish blank that most of the old timers used. They did improvements on the blank they are now much lighter & more sensitive. You have to be very careful how that rod is made if it's cut in the wrong spot there's way too much bend. But if it's done right it's one of the most popular choices out there. If your going to build one get advice on where it should be cut.

If I am not mistaken, this rod was "Australian Al" or something like that. I happen to pick one up on the cheap by luck.
A similar action can be found in the Seeker "Pinhead" series blanks Model S-36.
