![]() It depends on where you go. We go to Corolla every year in August and the only productive surf fishing is early am & pm with small Croakers and stuff. If you go south past kitty hawk you can catch Mackerel and Kings off the docks. You can book a charter pretty much anywhere, but watch your wind forecast it kicks up quick. They also spear fish fluke in the shallows at night which is pretty cool, buy its pricey.

![]() If you want to switch gears head over to the bay and do some Blue Claw crabbing. Last time I was down we went for an afternoon and had a few dozen using hand lines and a dip net.

![]() A few years back in July we went to OBX and we fished Nags Head pier and we caught several Cobia and Croakers. Lots of fun.
