Default Looking for some advise on Spruce Run

OK, Right off the bat, Don't tell me live bait.

I've been out there just about every weekend this year targeting Large Mouth. So far the producers for me have been soft swimbaits and Senko style stuff.

I've been fishing early mornings into the day, mostly the north west coves along the banks with some success. Only a few fish per trip. Tried the deeper creek channels and came up blank.

Apparently I'm a hard bait idiot. Squarebills, Lipless cranks, and Spinnerbaits, and Jigs, have all produced nothing for me. Going to try early AM topwater next.

What has worked for you there?

If you are targeting only Largemouth, be there sunrise and sunset. Jointed topwaters at first and last light always worked for me. Wacky Senkos in between. Bass aren't too difficult, just need to be there at the right time.

Small Spinnerbaits or roadrunner type jigs have been producing for me, ultra light or with trout gear - produced some nice fish and fun.

Looks like your going in the right direction. Here's one from there with my favorite lure hanging from him. Just close your eyes and duck if you swing and miss!
