Pickling yesterdays bergals. Might do a sour cream finish instead of pickling spice.

Too much vinegar. I did it with sour cream and brought it back with sugar which is what they do with the store bought. Tasted good in the end. This is one of those things you have to experiment with.

I caught a load of Porgies up in Buzzards Bay on Sunday and Monday.

I have some fillets. Will try some with and without skins.

Has anyone ever tried this before?

with porgies i just scale them and gut them. rub with a mix of olive oil and spices (whatever you want, i use some all spice or something) and put it right on the grill, turn it once, it cooks pretty quick. easy and delicious.
