Default Seven cast - Seven trout

Another slamming day on the SBR. I was done fishing for keepers in ten minutes. Caught twelve fish in a half hour out of two small runs. I'm planning to change spots tomorrow but still stay on the SBR. Can't believe the lack of fishermen the day after stocking. I only saw one other fisherman who was fishing a sucker hole. When are the not too wise fishermen going to realize that trout are raised in fast water therefore stay in the same when they are stocked. The depth of the water is secondary. HINT HINT HINT

Your logic doesn't just apply to stockies, either. I routinely catch chunky wild rainbows on the upper Delaware in riffles barely deep enough to cover their backs. Glad to see a few still taking advantage of our state's exemplary trout stocking program.

It must be nice. Down our way in the D&R Canal not a single fish was seen caught by anyone yesterday. I managed one follow on a sliver spinner in 2 hours tossing lures but that was it. It's been that way since Monday and they stocked yesterday, or so they say...
Last week we were getting hits on every cast and most people caught limits. I hope the water isn't getting to hot for them in there already.

Trout are raised in slow water concrete raceways. I tend to fish slower water for stocked trout since they don't have any fins.

I have heard you guys talk about trout magnets a lot so I picked up a pack! They have no weight to them! Do you add a small split shot to it? Do you place it right front of lure or up the line a few inches? Haven't had much luck this year with the spinners

Sounds like ur catching not fishing ! I wish I could get this trout fishing down & begin to catch the numbers u do! Maybe if I go trout fishing more often I will begin to get luckier , maybe we can go out one day & u could give me some pointers ?

I never trout fished the Passaic until this year and I was very pleasantly surprised, nice size and hard fighting stickies
