Default Hubcap crappie and carp hogs

earlier this week I was determined to get a nice crappie to enter in the online contest before the end of the month! My buddy and I didn't find them where we thought (damn this never warming water!) we put our heads together and found some good action way way back into a wind blown shallow cove. Hard to beat the action of hubcap crappie on light gear. I did my damage rotating a little plastic under a bobber and crawling a rapala on the surface. 15" was the biggest and currently holding first place..if you caught bigger this month, guess you should've entered! Haha! Still time for next month to sign up!

Next trip my buddy and I went on the hunt for some carp. First fish was our best yet and soon after beat that by a little with a bigger one. 31.5" and 32". Closing in on that 35"! I gotta thank saxmatt for his bait tips, owe you one buddy! And zmerchant for his helpful articles, thanks.

Straight from Saturday carp fishing I was off to hit the salt for a night trip and straight through Sunday afternoon...36 hours fishing minus the driving and two times I dozed off for an hour or two on the salt to have my clams all stolen...something is seriously wrong with me! But I like it! Hahaha

Nice carp! Great to see more people targeting them as a sport fish. Glad I could help!

Eddie you threatened me with a 17 incher! don't tell me you're giving up from that power wheels hubcap i got! 3 days left for april contest and to sign up for the May contest! Oh and I talked to the guy and the 'All Bass' category will be largemouth, smallmouth, white, and HYBRID STRIPERS!

I know some of you guys want to battle florida's largemouth with NJ's hybrid stripers! Longest bass wins $100 for the month, have to sign up before end of this month to play next month. $15 entry fee and pot payouts all done through paypal. I'm signed up for the 'longest any species' and 'crappie' contests next month but if either of them don't get enough participation i'll be switching to the '25 slot' or 'all bass'!

2 of the crappie, 14.5" and 15". All released ( didn't even keep the small ones that day). The carp were short! 31.5" and 32".. Still on the hunt for 35"!
