Got out for a few hours with the lady today and was not expecting this. She outfished me again, nailing this monster on a suspending jerkbait. Very strong fish with a great fight that she handled like a PRO. HUGE gill plate made for an easy grab landing. This thing was the fattest Pike I have ever handled, an absolutely beautiful specimen. No silly guestimates on size here, we laid her down on my jacket for a quick measurement. A very solid 38" on the tape, then back to the water. She kicked away like a madman, splashing me in the face in the process. Great start to the open water season, pretty sure the bar was just set by a GIRL !!!

Wow, first off, congrats to you for putting her in a great place to catch this monster. She sounds like a trooper to handle that fish. . Just keep an eye out on her battle scars. I picked up a few nasty infections over the years from broken skin from a pike. Way to go !!!!
