![]() both of those reefs are loaded with junk and most of those piles hold fish (tog seabass fluke etc) - the new ones don't take too long to produce as some of the newer heeps of junk on the axel were actually very good for seabass and fluke last year and the year before...
Not for nothing but what happened to the discussion about creating a new reef off seaside/IBSP? Obviously the more bottom in a concentrated area is OK, but if another reef is created outside this area it creates even more opportunities for anglers to get away from the crowd and get into more fish relatively close to home... It also let's migratory species like fluke and seabass spread out and populate other areas... Just my $.02 |

![]() They are great additions and improvements to the otherwise bare ocean floor. I have done very well at both reefs and am extremely grateful to the foresight of those pioneers who decided to drop concrete-filled tires out there over 40 years ago. The reefs give back quality fish and fishing adventures provided you make regular donations to the "bucktail graveyard" like most of us have done.

![]() We have had some great trips on both of these. Would be great if it is spread out a bit at each site. Would hope the Barnegat area would receive some love too....
