Default RI fishing

We did our yearly trip out to RI for our annual blackfish trip. Fishing was very good we got a 34 keeper blackfish & a full boat limit of Sea Bass. My oldest brother John got a limit of blackfish he out fished my other brother as well. Given his physical condition he lost all use of his right side from a stroke he suffered 12 years ago. Anybody who can do that can is amazing he out fished some very good fisherman today. I wound up with 15 keepers plus a lot of real quality size keepers.

Just that all 3 of you can go on the trip fishing together is Great! The catching was certainly the icing on the cake... and congrats to your brother for his super catch!

Always wanted to go up there. I can comfortably fit 4 guys in my truck with all our gear if you want to get something together.

The thing that was really special about this trip was that there was another group of top flight fisherman who were on another charter north of us to see them compete on the same level was amazing. You have to realize not only was there my older brother I had others with me who had serious handicaps as well. We were not the youngest group out there by far. I got to try to find some more pictures but this trip was more about fishing & not picture taking. In our group the Topeka boy & his buddy Bob who put together a really good catch of real good quality Sea Bass. They were culling only big fish many of the fish they threw back would be considered very nice fish to keep on any trip. I know that they were the one of the main reasons why we had a trip like this. There also was my other brother Dennis & my buddy Tom from NY as well. We really needed the weather to co operate & the weather gods was on our side that day. When I think about it more if we kept all of our keeper blackfish we would have limited easily at the end we were just culling the big ones. I also threw back a 10lb. plus fish that day as well. This was a day that was a very special one & one that will be talked about for many years by my group. I was very proud of this group today & I feel I was very lucky to be just a part of it.
