Default Manasquan Inlet report

I caught a sundial and 5 hickory shad on an Ava and teaser in Manasquan Inlet yesterday evening. The sundial was the 50th that I tagged since last fall. None were recaptured. People who catch sundials don't report them.

Keep on tagging. The return ratio as not very high but the satisfaction that comes with one of Jeff's goldfish patches and the information that comes along with the tag return makes it all worthwhile. I'm convinced that a lot of tags go unreturned by the draggers who have been encouraged to report them but for some reason choose not to do so. Although, I did get a tag return from a local dragger for a fluke that had traveled from Sea Bright to 5 miles off Mantoloking in 2 months.

I once tagged a striper in the Delaware river by Trenton and 3 months later it was re-caught in New Hampshire.

Starting too see more and more Gannets around actively diving on bait.... Your catch of Hickory Shad explains that.
