Default Golden Eagle - Very Good Big Blues - Weekend Recap

Fishing was good for BIG BLUES on Sunday - with most of the fish early on jigs and than jigs & bait the rest of the day - the BIG BLUES ranged in size from 8 to 16lbs

On both Friday & Saturday nights we had good fishing for the BIG BLUES - all on bait

The Golden Eagle is on a canyon tuna trip and will be back late this afternoon - I will have an update on that trip Monday evening.

The GOLDEN EAGLE sails everyday for BLUES & STRIPERS at 7:30am from Belmar Marina in Belmar, NJ
Night BLUES on Friday & Saturday nights departing at 7:30pm

For more information visit us at www.goldeneaglefishing.com or call 732-681-6144.

See you on board

Default Re: Golden Eagle - Very Good Big Blues - Weekend Recap

I was onboard Friday night and it was awesome fishing as expected on the GE! Mates: AJ, Alex and "The Big Guy" worked their arses off with a number of "first timers" on board. Was surprised by the number of women that joined us! I was fishing the bow as lines were going that way for awhile until they ended up going straight down and I was looking at the crowd down both sides it looked like I was fishing in the middle of the summer, not early October! Had one on before anchors came tight and it stayed that way all night long. Swung over a number of fish that I was able to toss back since they didn't have holes in them from the gaff, lol. Most fish were on bait, but there were a couple of guys using jigs with success. Look forward to doing it again hopefully before end of the season!
