![]() Canyon Tuna Bite is On!
Our first Canyon Tuna trip was a good one. We started catching yellow fin tuna 15 minutes after we set the hook and continued to catch them until sunrise. We had good action the entire time with as many as 5 tuna hooked up at a time. A couple were caught on jigs but most were caught on bait. Through the night you could see tuna shooting through the slick. Everyone had several shots at landing a tuna. Several anglers caught their limit, some had one or two of the 60 lb to 85 lb yellow fin. There are presently two areas holding good numbers of tuna in our range so it looks good for upcoming trips. We have added an additional trip sailing 5pm Sunday September 14. There is space available and we are taking reservations. We will be sailing to the Canyon for tuna on a regular basis starting September 14. We have 22hr overnight trips and extended 31hr trips sailing every week through early November. This week the Jamaica is scheduled to sail day and night for bluefish. Call ahead to confirm sailing times. For further information call 732 528 5014.
