Default Who was Royal Parsons

Royal Parsons was part of a crew that swapped giant tuna records like it was nobody's business but their own. When it was done, his record is the one that still stands.

This is a tribute to Capt. Bob Pisano of the Ol' Salty and his crew back in the 70s and 80s.

They also built the Runsway boats in PP on site of the Garden State Marina that now occupies that space .
Those days tuna were abundant in MH & Even PB's were sailing for MH
Tuna! I cut my teeth on tuna fishing on the Highlander in the mid sixties one of the local PB 's that sailed for Tuna every fall
Nice memories of the what we once had in R backyard .

mh??? in the late 60's right up to the early 80's we used to catch both bft and yft less than 8 miles off the beach.i fished with ray burke on the optimist starr
during that time and we had big yft 80-110lbs at the 6 mile lumps.used to jig
those football bft{up to 50lbs}at the Klondike.all this clear water the last few weeks has brought back great memories.
