Inshore Report, No BFT but...
Went out yesterday with Yong from Jigging world, friends Darryl and Kevin as well as Ari. We were heading inshore for some bluefin tuna action and the ocean was definitely sporty. Got to the grounds and found plenty of life but could not find any bluefin. Shortly later we got covered in skipjacks, litterally thousands all around and boarded one. Minutes later, two knockdowns, and to everyones surprise two small yellowfin came to the side, with one being boated. Over the next hour we went 5 for 7 on good yellowfin in the 40-60 lb class. Amazing to find these fish so far inshore. Started heading back to the barn around 230 pm for a slightly bumpy ride. Great day on the water and lots of fish for everyone. Pics should be coming soon or in another post by jigging world. We will be unavailable for charters/open boats from 8/17-8-22 as we will be fishing the MA 500. We will be having plenty of open boats starting again next weekend.
