When I spoke with Captain Lenny at 9:30 a.m. this morning, he said that we were already catching the blues really good. We headed out north and it was super fishing from the get go. We immediately started catching 6-12 lb blues on Ava 27’s & 47’s and also caught a couple 15-20 lb stripers. We had some drifts that lasted up to 30 minutes and we had it the whole time, and there were times where we had half the boat hooked at once. Everyone caught today from kids, to novices to our regulars and everyone left very happy. It was a great day!

More blues and some stripers from today!

Does this mean it's time for me to try a return to the dock and see if I remember how to catch bluefish? I can't find my autographed first copy of "Bluefish 101 for Dummies" by the master

I was there and can vouch for the day, had my limit, shallow water jigging, lure type didn't matter and easily 5 fish lost for everyone landed. they were spitting out jigs everyway imaginable , action all day ranged from mayhem to a pick back to mayhem. fish were of the 5 to 12 lb variety with a couple of stripers (none for me) thrown in for good measure.
sure hope its the start of what we want for the next couple of months.
